A Survey of Christian Doctrines

A series of lesson outlines primarily based on Dr. J.M. Pendleton’s book, Christian Doctrines: A Compendium of Theology.  Additional lessons are included covering doctrinal topics not included in Christian Doctrines.  The outlines were created by Elder John Keen Jr.

  • Lesson 1 – The Being of God – Does God exist?  How do we know?
  • Lesson 2 – The Bible: A Revelation from God – What are the internal and external proofs that the Bible is really the Word of God?
  • Lesson 3 – The Attributes of God – What is God like?  What are His abilities and His character?  Is there anything He doesn’t know or anything He can’t do?
  • Lesson 4 – The Trinity – The word “trinity” is never mentioned in Scriptures.  Yet, the concept is seen throughout the Word from Genesis to Revelation.  Learn about our one God in three persons.

  • Lesson 15 – The Atonement of Christ – What does atonement mean?  How could Jesus pay the debt for all of our sins?

  • Lesson 17 – Regeneration, with its Attendants: Repentance and Faith – Why are repentance and faith necessary for salvation?
