Proactive Parenting: Seeking to Stay Ahead of the Curve

Proactive Parenting

Ben Franklin coined the phrase, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”  It applies to parenting too.  Proactive parenting requires more work up-front, but can potentially save us countless hours of reacting to problems and trying to recover lost ground.

While it is tempting to think that our children will escape the temptations faced by many youth, wisdom suggests otherwise.  This lesson focuses on the objective of parenting, leading the trajectory of our children’s growth and maturity, and our God-called role to prepare our children for the challenges and opportunities they will face as budding adults.

On Saturday, October 24th, Pastor Keen taught a break-out group session on Proactive Parenting at the Alaska Men’s Ministries 2015 Summit at Faith Christian Community.  You can download a copy of the lesson by clicking on the picture above.
